You can save money a few different ways:

Shipping is by volume, but most Customs and clearance charges are per order, not per scooter, so extra scooters are proportionately less. Buy with a friend. Or buy 2, sell 1.
You can clear the scooter yourself and save what you would pay the agent.
If your country has VAT/GST, you can probably avoid paying it by importing through a business.
Pick the scooter up yourself at the shipping agent's warehouse and save the delivery charge. ($60 or so in the USA; £35 in the UK by picking up the scooter yourself.) You can let the shipper there know when he contacts you after your scooter arrives.
