EuroLambretta 2010 is in Gijon, Spain, this weekend, June 11-13th.
We are sponsoring a ScootRS World Cup football tournament at EuroLambretta - actually a gigantic inflatable foosball table where people are the players on the table! People from the same country will form teams to compete in a round-robin tournament. It should be really fun to play in and watch.
The event is sponsored in the name of our Lambretta tubeless rims, with the final 2 teams winning some tubeless rims, but with something from us for every team that participates.
The only question now is: what country will win? England might actually have a chance in this tournament!

Was looking up some info on Serveta Lambrettas and came across a very useful old post by Robert from Spain:
Jet 200s came in a variety of guises:
- Front mudguards were LI type, as is the horncast (except for those not fitted with a chrome ring).
- Side panels were:
- Up to '71-72, equal as SX200. When innnocenti closed down, first supplies of discs dried up, and panels later on. 1972 seems to be the year they changed panels to plain Li-type with the "200" go-faster stripe in black.
- From '72 on the panels were Li-types with handles.
- An in a later evolution up to the end of production they came with clip-type panels fitted.
- Headset and switches, that's another story.
- From early 80s till end of Jet production (1982) design was revamped to "Series 80" type, with SX-type headset but with fiberglass horncast and mudguard.
1982-83 when the Lynx appeared, frames were still being stamped as "SX200", and lynxes began by SX200-56***. Late Lynxes had the SX200-86**, and I've seen an "SX200-89***"
The Lynx-series as it is was very short-lived, no more than 2 years as Serveta went bust. From then on, it was the same scoot but was called SX200 and SX200e ("e" stood for economic, so points ignition, no turn signals, no rear view mirror -optional- and fewer stickers).
Bear in mind that Serveta in Spain went bust 3 times (end of 70s, mid 80s and late 80s) and suffered from a factory move from Eibar to Amurrio from 1986 on, so components were searched in the parts bin and fitted in an..., er, anarchic way. That explains why my 1988 Lynx has points ignition, a Series 2 front hub but with S3 backplate and the magflange has provision for electric starter.

As promised, we've put together our complete high-quality Lambretta rubber-floor sets. For now there are 2 types, LIS/TV/SX and GP. When we finish the LI mudguard rubber we'll add that type too.
A set is currently only $79! A similar set elsewhere would be lower quality at double the price!
You can choose Gray, Black or a “Gray - black” option that is all gray except with a black kickstart and black stand feet like original. Unlike other places, we've included the floor strips because if you're buying all the other colored trim it only makes sense you'll want those too.
Sets include the following colored rubber/plastic:
For buffers and other little rubber items you will need, see all of our Lambretta rubber.

We just released 2 more rubber items made inhouse by us.
The 1st is Lambretta mudguard - legshield rubber for all models except LI (which is coming later), and the 2nd is Lambretta mudguard - horncast rubber. Available in gray and black, both are great quality.
We've now made almost every Lambretta S3 rubber piece inhouse ourselves, and will be putting up a complete restoration set soon. Not only are some of our trim items now the best quality available in the world but a rubber-floor trim set from us comes in at HALF the price at other places.
That means you get better quality over Italian repros and save up to $100 on your restoration! (One shop was $181.50 vs. $84.70 at ScootRS.) And that doesn't even count all the extra rubber buffers/bits we do as well.
I can heartily recommend the ScootRS rubbers for the side panels.
They are the best you will get in my opinion. In fact all their rubber is exceptionally good quality.
Think about that! What a bizarre turn of events that the best Lambretta restorations in the world now turn to ScootRS in Vietnam for parts. Who'd a thunk it?

Books are very helpful but if you are want to see how to do scooter maintenance or an engine rebuild on your Lambretta or Vespa, maybe a DVD is the answer?
Take a look at scootertechniques.co.uk and the DVDs they offer.

Here are a couple photos a customer from Argentina sent in of his beautiful white S2 scooter.
You can see all our Lambretta S2 parts here. (At some point soon we'll divide the S2 section into categories to make it easier to navigate.)

For everyone in Oz on a Lambretta, put this on your rear frame badge holder.
We also added a photo of the American flag badge too. Many country flags available. Italian always works too.

If you haven't noticed, our Lambretta floor channel rubber came out the other week. Already a few replies about it's being the same as Italian quality but for just $5.75 a set.
We've now done almost all of the Lambretta Series 3 rubber (and even the plastic floor strips for S3 and GP which are now the highest quality in the world - compare yourself), a few S2 rubber bits, even some LD horncast rubber.
We have a couple S3 rubber items to finish after which we can offer a complete S3 rubber set and save people about 50% over elsewhere but with excellent quality. Being done inhouse, for example, the grays all match unlike rubber being sourced from different places in Italy and resold together.
If you're wondering about the difference in quality between what we do inhouse at ScootRS and what is available in the local Vietnam market (and often resold on eBay), we have comparison photos on some rubber item pages such as this:

And here's a comment someone posted before:
I can heartily recommend the ScootRS rubbers for the side panels. They are the best you will get in my opinion. In fact all their rubber is exceptionally good quality. Anyway, the sidepanel rubbers are nice and thick. Not too stiff and not too soft and my sidepanels sit on them a treat with no riding up of the rubber. “Same as Italian. Half the price.” as they say.
