Yo, Americans: want a 4th of July in Vietnam hat?
Jul. 3, 2011, 12:35 PM

FreebiesWe have a few nice 4th of July baseball hats from the party here in Ho Chi Minh City, Vetnam.

The first 3 people to mention "4th of July baseball hat, please!" in an order comment can have 1 for free.

(And if you ever need to cite the Declaration of Independence, just take your hat off - see the 3rd photo.)

By the way, we also have a couple nice Ducati keychains from the event we mentioned earlier. If you want one of those instead, mention that in a comment.

ScootRS at Ducati event
Jun. 24, 2011, 10:11 AM

Ducati eventWe were invited by the head of Ducati to an event last night. Inside was rocking, perhaps assisted by the free vodka; outside was, uhhh, even more rocking.

Phone photos, so not the best quality.

Bad experience with ScootRS in Vietnam?
Jun. 1, 2011, 7:44 AM

A bit of feedback on our service from England today about how ScootRS ignores customers and sweeps any problem with parts under the carpet:

Sorry for the long delay in replying to the new part you sent out, have been busy putting miles on my scooter.

I would like to say the replacement speedo cover for the hydraulic disc did the trick and I now have a speedo that works.

Thank you very much, your service and communication is excellent, shame other dealers do not aspire to customer service like ScootRS and the disc brake is a massive improvement over the original disc brake.

The bold, italics and underline are from the customer's email, not us.

But c'mon, that can't be true, everyone knows that a scooter shop in Vietnam could never offer better service than ones in Europe - haven't you read internet warriors telling you that a 100 times before? And on top of that you claim to have bought a great upgrade when we've all been told never to buy junk Lambretta and Vespa parts from Vietnam, especially safety critical parts?

You just had to pull back the curtain and find out firsthand for yourself, huh? Don't let anyone know about our secret...

Snowflake Vietnam Charity Fund by ScootRS
May. 10, 2011, 3:01 PM

We've started a charity fund, the Snowflake Vietnam Charity Fund.

Snowflake Vietnam Charity FundKeeping with our philosophy at ScootRS of supplying direct at a reasonable price, 100% of donations to our fund goes directly to local Vietnam charity. There is no international overhead and no admin fees! We even donate the c.c. fees for everyone.

How much to donate? It is amazingly cheap to help someone here get basic medical or other help. For example, a hairlip operation for a child costs only $25! So even a small amount truly helps!

If you can, throw in $2 or $5 on the way to checkout (where you'll see it below your basket). Or to make a $10 or $25 donation for the year, enter that.

On top of your donation we also donate for every order, so even just ordering helps. Thank you!

Full quarterly updates will be posted onsite, the 1st will be 2011-07.
