The good and bad scooter news
Jul. 17, 2006, 12:14 PM

Good news first?

We've added a ton of new parts, most notably an array of T5 goodies: rear lights, fender crests, lenses, speedo cover, horncast, windshield, switches, etc.

And there are other new parts as well, mostly Vespa, but also a few Lambretta. Take a look.

The bad news?

Live and in person We're all out of our 2006 Scooter Calendar! So, our offer of a free calendar with $100 orders has ended. Well, there's always next year.

Our new tig welder A Lambretta we're working on A VBB in Audi aviator gray pearl Robert in Sweden

If we've calculated correctly, that's a 4000 word post so far.

Just to verbalize: new shop machinery, two new scooters we're currently working on, and one old guy in Sweden. Well, a very cool old guy, that's for sure :-)

ScootRS goes Hollywood
May. 6, 2006, 8:10 PM

NBC stars NBC - Howie Mandell NBC - Windfall cast

Luke Perry, who'd have thought?

A couple scootRS Vespa VBB M-class made their way to NBC in Hollywood the other day for some celebrity promo photos. Luke and the cast of Windfall squeezed onto on a pair, and then Anthony Michael Hall and Tony Shalhoub had their turn. Howie Mandell got to fly solo.

Not sure yet where they'll be used. If you see them somewhere, let us know!

Tower of...
May. 1, 2006, 9:02 AM

We do get some strange emails sometimes thanks to computer translation:

how do you do, quaere your exhaust administer and PM know each other, because I want retain be equipped with fetus. ....thanks

Uhh, you're welcome?

Speaking of babble, the brilliant people at EMS decided to change their shipping rates. Apparently when you raise your prices 85% (!!!) the best way to do it is to tell one of your best customers, “Oh, by the way, we have new prices to fax to you,” and do it two days before they become effective. And when your good customer calls and asks what the heck is going on and why it is you think you can charge the same as Fedex for a lesser service, just have the staff say they don't know what's going on.

Scepticism is healthy
Mar. 31, 2006, 10:04 AM

Nice little email we got today about our scooter parts:

I was sceptical about dealing with Asian Co's after all the bad press, but your products are excellent quality, prices competitive and the service is very efficient. Well done and thank you, keep up the good work!!!!!

Nice customer email today from Germany after he got his big order:

Hi, just want to tell you, that no parts are missing and nothing broken; quite impressive after the trip around the world.... :-)

Especially the chromed rims are an impressive quality, we were not expecting that high standard for such a low price!

Great, glad you you like the parts.

Don't you hate it when...
Feb. 24, 2006, 4:15 PM

Live and in person...models stop by your house, hanging around, hanging around? We hate that, too, but our 2006 Scooter Calendar models stopped by to get a copy of the calendar so we had to be polite and entertain them for a while.

New North American shipping rates
Feb. 14, 2006, 11:34 PM

Like the title says, new shipping rates have been set from our North American stock, and some nice saving to be had. For example we checked a 20 kilo order to the US via Standard: 33% cheaper! The fast service was also upgraded to 2-day Expedited and is still less than our previous 3-day service.

So good news for those of you in Canada and the US! And even worldwide shipping from there is much less now.
