Special Note: we will be shipping parts to North America very soon to update our stock there. If you want to order something heavy that is not presently in stock in NA (as noted next to the part in our parts section) in order to get cheaper shipping than from Vietnam, ORDER BEFORE FEB. 16th and choose shipping from NA, and to pay offline. We will then take a 10% deposit, then the rest when it arrives in NA about 30-45 days later and is ready for delivery to you.

January
Feb. 10, 2001, 1:02 PM

So that was January, was it? What happened? Lunar New Years, one month bonuses for the staff, bit of lazing on the beach. Tanned, rested and ready, and working on a bunch of changes. Will let you know soon as they are done.

Scooter Roadkill
Jan. 14, 2001, 9:07 PM

We're back. After a bit of kim chi in Seoul at -9º, a Wally's burger in Vancouver at 10º, something or other in Taipei at 21º, we're back in the land of 32º and fruit shakes. Ahh, just right. Special thanks to Soft G and Hard K, and a hello to Sayaka.

We will post a bunch of new parts over the course of this week, so check back soon.

Scoot! Quarterly review
Dec. 3, 2000, 2:03 AM

as reportedFinally got our copy of Scoot! Quarterly and got to read all about...ourselves! Kathryn and Christian visited Asia and submitted a 4-page feature with lots of photos entitled, "SE Asia Scooter Vacation." You can pick up a copy at Tower Records. A quick quote from Kathryn:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Basically, you start driving up the wrong side of the road and then slowly head diagonally into oncoming traffic with the expectation they will drive around you! This move is what Randall called 'the wedge,' and Christian and I decided we'd suffer certain death if we attempted driving.
Greasy, non-greasy
Nov. 20, 2000, 12:57 PM
“Vespa is not just a product, but a lifestyle,” Stefano Rosselli, president and chief executive officer of Piaggio, was quoted as saying. “The type of person we want to sell a Vespa to very unlikely would be inclined to go to a garage-type operation where you buy motorcycles, where the more greasy you are, the better you feel.” -Greasy, non-greasy: here we don't discriminate.
Netscape 6 was officially released and our site, like others that prepared for it, looks much better in it than in nn4. There are a few bug reports, and many unprepared sites, so better to wait for 6.1. Better still, if you don't want all the AOL nonsense but you like Netscape, download the nightly build of Mozilla, which is the cleaner, more advanced version of nn6.
Well, the boys from Thailand just left with a ton of scooter parts, and now we have a new visitor. Some guy named Bill. Wonder if he's a Lambretta or a Vespa guy?
