Lambretta 22mm air hose
Jun. 29, 2004, 9:50 AM

We've made a new Lambretta 22mm air hose which goes for only $8. Why? Because the Italian made ones are good but vastly overpriced, while the Indian made ones are terrible: rough, too soft (fold up and block air flow), and they crack easily. This one's just right. Goldilocks would be pleased.

Scooter Roadkill
May. 22, 2004, 6:45 PM

You want one of our SX200, right, but we have stopped selling them. Well, there's an SX200 we did recently on eBay, a truly beautiful one, and apparently a heck of a story to go with it:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RARE - Completely restored - pearl and midnight blue 1968 Lambretta SX200. Classic - and a little more. All-new motor, 30mm flatslide carb, fine-tuned exhaust, electronic ignition, crashbars, windshield.
My husband and I designed this scooter with speed in mind and it was restored to our specifications by ScootRS. Original badges etc. They did a beautiful job and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and workmanship.
What I am not pleased with is the jerk I bought it for, so now it's up for sale because: 1) my lower back is toast and I cannot ride her anymore and since he won't help me I'll be dammed if he's gonna ride her either, and 2) my children deserve a house and here's my down payment!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ouch. But there you go! 3 more days and it's gone, so don't dilly-dally.

Apr. 28, 2004, 10:09 AM

A tip from a UK customer about the rubber cable with our hydraulic disc brake kit:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
took my scootRS hose to a local hydraulic shop and they made me one up in braided ss with the corect fittings for £12. BTW first place i tried wanted £32, so try your yellow pages.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

By the way, we've changed the seals once again. These ones are much better, so if you've had any issues with yours, let us know.

Lambretta vented disc and more
Apr. 5, 2004, 10:54 PM

If you haven't noticed, we've added a whole slew of new parts including lot's of stainless steel studs for Lambrettas, PX adges, Lambretta clutch spring, and a genuine Keihin PWK 28mm carburetor.

We've also remade our regular Lambretta disc to be vented like a modern one. A nice addition. The vents help to cool the disc and avoid fading. Nice.

Get ‘em while their hot.

George Clooney scooter
Apr. 4, 2004, 9:56 AM

A lot of people don't know that superstud George Clooney is one of our customers. George took time out of his busy schedule to write in:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Right now the scooter is on its way to me in Germany. It's spent the last year in a friend's garage, and I had my doubts if it would start or even be rideable. I cleaned it up a bit, tire pressure was just right where it should be, gave it some gas/oil, hydraulic fluid, and transmission fluid, and after some work finally got it to start. (A few times more than the third kick as a recent letter to you went.) It ran wonderfully, and was sheer joy ride! Once it gets here I might have the cables looked at, as they were a bit tight on the shifting. A fine job you have done on it, and it truly is a thing of beauty! The paint is excellent, and the pearl and mica red looks great in the sun. Again, great job!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Need to adjust and grease the cables likely; they dry up from sitting so long.

Hmmm. Those must be George's stables in the background. Must be nice.

TS1 225cc kit
Feb. 17, 2004, 4:52 PM

We've added a TS1 225cc kit as an option when ordering a Lambretta - any Lambretta. For only $750 extra you get A.F. Rayspeed's awesome TS1 225cc kit, race crankshaft, race clutch springs, our PWK-type 28/30mm carb kit, and all the port work involved in making things neat and tidy. (Our motors already include a race chain guide along with all new parts, including quality bearings.) If you are ordering a 150 or 175cc scooter, the option includes our 200cc case conversion so we can add the kit.

Only thing extra to add is the tuned exhaust in regular or stainless. Though likely you'll want to add the dual tanks... And the disc brake, too, no?

Just remember: speed is addictive.

Lambretta original receipt
Feb. 11, 2004, 12:10 PM

Thought you might enjoy this. It's an original receipt for the purchase of a Lambretta TV175 imported brand new from Italy in 1965. Cost was 37,580 Dong, which today equals about $2 in the current currency that really shares a name only. The company that sold the scooter doesn't exist anymore; nor, when you consider it, does the actual country it was sold in.
