TS1 Lambretta
Jan. 29, 2004, 12:11 PM

ts1 We're back from the Tet holidays. More soon, very busy, but meanwhile a quick photo of a TS1 we are finishing up in the shop. It uses our PWK type 28/30 carb and TS1 tuned exhaust in stainless, dual tanks, hydraulic disc, too much to link to. Should see some great HP out of it.

PX rear brake switch
Jan. 3, 2004, 6:18 PM

We got a little bored today, so we added some more new products. A PX rear brake switch, a holder for 10 inch hubcaps to go on regular wheels, and a nice polished S2 horn grill.

As usual, see them all magically assembled on one page of new Vespa and Lambretta parts.

Orange SX200
Dec. 21, 2003, 1:41 PM

An orange SX200 delight currently in the shop and, if you poke your head into the library, a nice VBC has just been finished.

Also, a few more new parts have been added for your scootering pleasure, Lambretta stainless steel trunnions and a big fat Vespa fender crest.

Lambretta, Vespa, take your pick. As you can see, we go both ways ;-)

Brake adjuster
Dec. 18, 2003, 3:06 PM

We really haven't had a thing to say for nine days? Hmmm.

Well, how about saying, “new brake adjuster”?

Better than nothing, no?

Lambretta USA
Dec. 9, 2003, 7:45 AM

Very interesting news. So is Lambretta really coming back to the USA, as the press article says in our News section?

No real info on their website, lambrettausa.com, so Robert Voltz dashed off to interview the marketing firm hired for the project:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just got off the phone with Smith, of Smith Design Works.
I asked many questions, here are some of them.
Q. Do you have any scooters?
A: I have 2, a VBB, an Indian VBB and a Lambretta TV175.
Q. Are you in a scooter club?
A: Yes, the Seattle Posh Scooter Club, a collection of mod-minded scooterists. Our website, www.seattleposh.org is under construction.
Q. This project, how close is it to your heart?
A: Very. I love Lambrettas and I really don't want to see a shody or fucked up product released. I'm not a big fan of modern scooters, from the ET series on down. This new Lambretta should be more in line with the lines and feel of the vintage.
Q. The motor, will it be a Piaggio based, say the Leader 150? Or will it be Rotax derived like Aprilia?
A: I can't answer that.
Q. You said it will be Italian, right?
A: Yes, the motor will be Italian, but I assure you it is not Piaggio based. I used to be a member of the Seattle Aprilia chapter, used to race Milles. But, the motor will not be Rotax.
Q. Hmmm. Then it has to be Moto Morini?
A: It is not. I can't talk about that.
Q. Will the motors be offered in both a 50 and 150 cc so that both those who don't want an endorsement, plus those who want a little speed, will be pleased?
A: I can't answer that. I can't answer any design or engineering questions due to my confidentiality agreement. All I can do is assure you that it will be cool.
Q. I saw that your client has mis-represented himself and products on eBay, from selling Bajajs as Vespas and, if you do a previous transaction search, trying to pass off A.P.I.s as Series 3s.
A: This is one of the challenges I'm dealing with, getting the owners to act responsible. My name is on this project. This is the closest to my heart project I've worked on. I think everyone will be pleased.
Q. Didn't Piaggio buy the name rights to Lambretta back in 1982? To prohibit the name from being attached to a scooter?
A: We bought the rights from Nigel Cox.
At this point, we talked small talk, and I wished him luck. He seems sincere.
Check out your scooter
Nov. 26, 2003, 12:42 PM
It's nice if you can have your boss fly across the world and check out your scooter for you with his local staff before it's shipped, isn't it?
Jude Law Vespa
Nov. 22, 2003, 10:43 AM
A customer writes in:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are three great shots of a swell looking two-tone Vespa that Jude Law rides in his role as Alfie in the remake of the famous 1960s Michael Caine flick.

BTW, received a box of goodies ordered from your site: seat cover, trims, badges, mirrors, and what not. The Lammy is looking pretty good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All good, thanks.
Lambretta SX200/TV175 1st gear
Sep. 28, 2003, 12:58 PM
Well, two of the Vespa M-class are gone already. There are a limited quantity available, but if you want to get on a waiting list for the next round, and want a specific color, let us know.
°°
You'll notice we've manufactured a Lambretta SX200/TV175 1st gear. There were none available in the world, so we made them ourselves. If yours is ruined from kickstarting for 35 years, here's where to replace it.
Lambretta GP200
Sep. 18, 2003, 11:34 AM
GP200If you haven't seen our Lambretta GP200 page lately, take a look.
New pics are up of one we just finished. Fabulous burgundy red, all new body work, an all-new stage-4 200cc motor, with hydraulic disc brake, tuned exhaust, dual tanks, dropbars, race seat, stainless trim...
The correct word, we believe, is: Yowza!
GP200
Aug. 25, 2003, 11:10 PM
Some current work in the shop. Tuned exhaust, disc brake, dropbars, very burgundy red, and yet...looks a little different from our usual fare?
GP200 anyone?
