Happy shiny people
Jul. 2, 2006, 2:00 PM

A nice email today:

nice shiny thingI just wanted to say thanks and commend you on the great quality exhaust. Two day shipping time to California from Asia is pretty impressive by the way!

After installing I noticed a marked improvement in performance and it sounds and looks a lot better than the stock exhaust on my ’67 VLB too.

I guess I know where to go from now on for good Vespa parts and I'm a very happy customer all around. Thanks.

If you've got an old VBB, VBC, VLB or such scooter, you really should upgrade to a PX-type exhaust. Still stock, but performs better, and only $17, or $32 for the chrome version.

Our new tig welder A Lambretta we're working on A VBB in Audi aviator gray pearl Robert in Sweden

If we've calculated correctly, that's a 4000 word post so far.

Just to verbalize: new shop machinery, two new scooters we're currently working on, and one old guy in Sweden. Well, a very cool old guy, that's for sure :-)

Green Hills of Africa
Jun. 14, 2006, 11:42 AM

Maybe what we should all do is take a Vespa with sidecar and ride across Africa!

Or we could let someone else do it and just read about it on the internet.

A shockingly beautiful Vespa VBC Super
Jun. 6, 2006, 8:41 PM

shockingly beautiful Isn't this Vespa VBC beautiful? So clean and sharp looking, and drives wonderfully! We just finished it for a customer. And with 10 inch wheels, leather seats, some nice extras throughout, and a very zippy 5-port motor 100% rebuilt in our shop with our standard all new gears, crankshaft, mainshaft, 7-spring clutch, 12v CDI flywheel, 5-port cylinder kit, etc., - well, you won't find a better deal on a showroom-quality vintage Vespa anywhere in the world. (A VBC with new 5-port motor costs only $3019, while a VBB with the same is just $3344.) It's like a brand-new 1960s Vespa, only better.

With so many “Western” shops these days merely importing and reselling overpriced bulk-restored scooters that come from who-knows-where in Asia, we're very happy to be able to offer customers the ability to deal directly with a shop that actually restores scooters inhouse, one-by-one, and thus does yours firsthand for you, with exactly the colors and options you want, and knows it inside-out down to the last bolt.

A bit like the old days, we guess. Funny you might have to go global to get that old-school, hometown quality these days, isn't it?

A couple scootRS Vespa VBB M-class made their way to NBC in Hollywood the other day for some celebrity promo photos. Luke and the cast of Windfall squeezed onto on a pair, and then Anthony Michael Hall and Tony Shalhoub had their turn. Howie Mandell got to fly solo.

Not sure yet where they'll be used. If you see them somewhere, let us know!
