San Francisco
Jan. 17, 2002, 4:21 PM

A sunny day in San Francisco today as we continue our trip. If you read the blurb in Scootering or Scoot! Quarterly and are here for the electric starter information, take a look at our restoration page where we detail the most amazing array of options you will see anywhere. Also see the LIS150 page for a Lambretta example. Note that we don't sell the electric starter as a kit, as it involves a great deal of work. We only offer it as an option for our restorations.

Another vacation task fulfilled before heading south to the good ol' US of A. And who did we see at the game? None other than the good doctor himself.

New shop
Jan. 11, 2002, 1:28 PM

In the spirit of MBD shop updates, here are a couple of before pics of the main room in the new space we are moving into: 1, 2. We've simply run out of space and are ridiculously busy and crowded, so this will be a great improvement.

By the way, if your wondering about the stage at one end, this used to be the local district communist People's Committee meeting hall. We'll keep you posted on the new shop as we put the hammer and sickle to work on it.

4-stroke Lambretta
Jan. 9, 2002, 1:49 PM

Hey, we're the link of the week at vespissimo.net.

°°

Have you heard about the new Lambretta model in the works? Don't get too excited, or think of the new Vespa, as, according to the LCGB, it is more of a goped than anything. It is designed to fold in two and fit in the trunk, and is an “electrically powered machine with a 12V battery fitted under the rear end. To charge it up you simply unscrew the dummy petrol filler cap and plug it into your household supply.” Take a look at the drawings and read the story. -More interesting are the plans for a new full-size 4-stroke Lambretta scooter as LCGB notes.

On vacation
Jan. 7, 2002, 9:04 PM

Accomplishments to date in a foreign land: enjoyed Wally's burger; saw movie on big screen; drank pint of Guinness; ate roast beef dinner; skied at Whistler; used dsl line continuously; was grotesquely overcharged for everything,... Hmmm, what's left?
