Yahoo scooter listing
Nov. 24, 2001, 9:53 PM

Just noticed that on Yahoo we are listed in the “most popular” section of the scooter dealers directory, and are the only one there that sells real scooters. Someone has to watch the fort. -Of course, they got our name wrong though. “Vespa”???

SX200
Nov. 18, 2001, 3:32 PM

Another auction is up, this time for a silvery-green and black sx200. See the Available Now page for details.

°°

As you may have noticed on our auctions, we've been playing with new logos, part of the upcoming design. We quite like the new on. What do you think?

Floods, outages
Nov. 16, 2001, 10:12 PM

It is never not “interesting” here. One day a flood, the next day the power is out.

USA scooters
Nov. 12, 2001, 11:14 PM

BIG NEWS. We are adding our available scooters in Oakland to the Available USA page. These are available for direct purchase, but will be auctioned with a reserve if not sold quickly. They generally go quickly so if you want one, don't wait. (The mica red vbb noted below went in one day.) We also have our best photos there until we move to the new site, so take a look.

°°

Well, we finally kludged the photoviewer to make it work in Netscape 6. It's a nasty hackjob but had to be done until the new site goes up.

°°

While working on the above, a friend phoned and said a nuclear bomb had gone off in NY. That was the translation from a drunken backpacker to a Vietnamese girlfriend, relayed via mobile. Not having TV, we found out on the internet a few anxious minutes later that it was a downed plane. Not good, but not a nuclear bomb.

Our message line
Nov. 12, 2001, 12:45 PM

If you happen to phone our message line in the US or UK, be sure, as noted on our contact page, to leave your email address because we don't return calls overseas. Too expensive. -Better still, simply email.

3-port Vespa
Nov. 8, 2001, 2:26 PM

We should mention that if you add the 3-port option to your Vespa restoration, we not only add the ports to the case for you, but we also cut the crank to match. What does that mean? In an aphorism: power is the root of all fun.

I have never seen a scooter that nice
Nov. 4, 2001, 10:24 PM

Very nice email today:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been meaning to write you since I received my scooter. I won the Mica Red VLB 3-Port on Oct. 7th. Needless to say, I was a little leery to send a large amount of money across the country for a scooter I've never seen, but you folks came right through. When I took that crate apart and saw that scooter, even better looking than the photos, a wave of relief and a lot of respect for your company, came over me. I have never seen a scooter that nice, even at the Vespa Club of America show in Knoxville a few years ago. Even the truck driver who delivered it stayed to help un-crate it just to see it. You have my total trust and support.
One other small point, I took those two forms, with a pencil tracing of the Frame number, to the DMV and in less than 10 minutes, I walked out with my Registration and plate.
Nice piece of work. I'm already thinking of another one. Thank you
If I am on island U and must go to island Z before Tuesday to see the rhesus monkeys, should I wear yellow or red socks to my sister's wedding? We're currently studying for the GRE. -And it is not very nice at all, we can assure you.
