Lower scooter prices and other fine things
May. 10, 2005, 11:14 PM

Some good news for Vespa scooter lovers:
  1. We've lowered the price on our ready-to-go VBC and VLB M-class by over $100 to $3,374, and $3,584 Deluxe. The difference between the VBB and VBC/VLB M-class was not the same as that of the regular scooters, but now it is.
  2. We've also lowered the price of a custom ordered VBC by $25; now when you add the 10 inch conversion option to a VBC you'll be at the same price as a VLB, which is basically the same scooter.
  3. We've added the brand-new electric start LML motor as an option so you can now custom order any Vespa as an M-class. The motor will be delivered separately (we can't import motors here unfortunately) but everything will be set up to be plug-and-play for you. Free delivery of the motor in North America or the UK; elsewhere there may be extra delivery charges, so please ask.
Finally, on a website note, we've eliminated the various scooter model links from the left menu system. To custom order a scooter you must go to the Scooters Intro page. That should help both load all pages slightly faster and clarify the scooter ordering process. From there the custom scooter ordering pages were improved as well. Enjoy.

Emptyness and angst no more: a redirection
May. 7, 2005, 2:07 PM

If you've ever experienced an empty cart here while shopping for scooter parts, it should be cleared up now. Was likely a problem of showing up at http://www.scootrs.com, then ending up on http://scootrs.com (no “www”). Now all visitors are sent to http://scootrs.com pages.

If you have bookmarks for your favorite Lambretta or Vespa parts here with “www” in them, you can change them if you want as you'll end up at a URL without the “www” anyway.
