Lambretta 22mm air hose
Jun. 29, 2004, 9:50 AM

We've made a new Lambretta 22mm air hose which goes for only $8. Why? Because the Italian made ones are good but vastly overpriced, while the Indian made ones are terrible: rough, too soft (fold up and block air flow), and they crack easily. This one's just right. Goldilocks would be pleased.

Jun. 27, 2004, 1:13 PM

Terry Frankland, a partner in Taffspeed Racing, one of the more renowned scooter shops in the world, has sadly passed away. Terry was a leading force in tuning and racing Vespa and Lambretta scooters since the early 1970s. Our condolences to his family and those at Taffspeed.

Vespa M-class scooters
Jun. 25, 2004, 11:39 AM

Only two Vespa M-class scooters left now, so if you want to be driving the best classic scooter deal around this summer, don't wait. (A brand new 5-port electric-start motor as in the boxy new Stella PX scooters, but here in a beautifully restored classic VLB with the most popular scootRS options. What more could you want?)

Be sure to check out the lovely pearl and pearl onyx VLB. We've changed the seats to black leather and added new photos. Looks nicer now. It was cloudy when the photos were taken, but the pearl onyx is a great color in the sun.

Rush hour in Vietnam
Jun. 21, 2004, 9:53 AM

Rush hour in Vietnam:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They smile as they dart headlong into traffic, they forgive a foreigner for stopping at a red light, they keep their composure even as their left knee hits a car while the right shoulder makes contact with a moto speeding by. It's chaos, but it's charming, and like the whole country, it's always on the move.
Vespa PX Classic Style
Jun. 13, 2004, 4:50 PM
As you may have noticed, we've added a new category named PX Classic Style. If you're a Vespa PX scooter owner, you won't find Kurt Cobain there, but, nonetheless, a little nirvana. The parts in this new category are designed to put a little style back into the PX which, while great mechanically, is - let us be diplomatic -, “aesthetically challenged.” For example, a gorgeous GS160-style taillight or the soul endangering brick-like monstrosity on there? You decide. Stainless steel floor runners? Twin seats? Curved kickstart? Take a look.
°°
A couple emails this weekend, the first from someone with a 5-port Vespa we did:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I disassembled it and if there was any doubt about the quality of the parts in the crankcase, it's gone now. All of the parts are new and good quality - as advertised. The porting work was very clean and professional.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And another about our Lambretta tuned exhaust:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The expansion arrived in midweek and is now on the scooter, I would just like to say you now have another satisfied customer, the pipe looks, performs and sounds superb, it arrived very quick and was very well packaged.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now just add the 28/30mm carb and you've gained 30%+ power.
