Lambretta SX200/TV175 1st gear
Sep. 28, 2003, 12:58 PM

Well, two of the Vespa M-class are gone already. There are a limited quantity available, but if you want to get on a waiting list for the next round, and want a specific color, let us know.

°°

You'll notice we've manufactured a Lambretta SX200/TV175 1st gear. There were none available in the world, so we made them ourselves. If yours is ruined from kickstarting for 35 years, here's where to replace it.

Introducing the Vespa M-class
Sep. 21, 2003, 10:57 PM

Available Now in North America.

At scootRS we've been working for years on combining the beautiful style of classic 1960s Italian scooters with all the modern conveniences you need for safe, reliable enjoyment of your classic. The results are in. How to summarize it all? We call it the M-class.

Original 1960s Vespa scooters loaded with various scootRS goodies we've perfected, plus a brand-new powerful 12v electric-start 5-port reed-valve CDI motor. This is the same great motor as in the new boxy ’80s-style Vespa PX clones, only it's been improved by us and put in a classic package, a beautiful 1960s Italian VBB or VLB. –A package painted in classic color schemes, too!

The scootRS M-class: everything you've always wanted in a classic.

Lambretta GP200
Sep. 18, 2003, 11:34 AM

GP200If you haven't seen our Lambretta GP200 page lately, take a look.

New pics are up of one we just finished. Fabulous burgundy red, all new body work, an all-new stage-4 200cc motor, with hydraulic disc brake, tuned exhaust, dual tanks, dropbars, race seat, stainless trim...

The correct word, we believe, is: Yowza!

Does the website look completely insane?

Hit the refresh button!

Now: hows that look? -A little better? We started tweaking the other day and couldn't stop. Much you won't even notice, we just cleaned up tons of god-awful code that had been around for years. Still a lot more left, but enough for now. Should load a bit faster and be a bit cleaner overall.

Things should be especially nice in a newer browser like Mozilla Firebird as we've added a few nice little touches that IE can't do (seeing as IE6 hasn't been updated much for CSS support since even the old IE5 days). But god speed to the three brave souls out there still using ye olde Netscape 4.

More tweaks. We prettied-up the sidebar with the specials, and we've added a currency conversion on the shopping cart page.

Enjoy. Refresh your browser for the new stylesheet.

Vancouver
Sep. 3, 2003, 2:09 PM

The scooter rally in Vancouver, Canada, just ended; lot's of photos up. Here's one showing a VL1 5-port we did, along with it's mod owner.

Of particular note, scooterMD just opened their great new downtown Vancouver shop. The crowds are already forming. The owners appear happy.

You can also see scootRS restored scooters on offer at the new shop; more details and prices soon.
