Look, there goes another Vespa...
Sep. 29, 2005, 11:35 AM

M-class DeluxeAnother M-class Deluxe Vespa (with new LML electric-start motor) has left the building.

So, now all the VLBs and VBCs are gone, but a few lovely VBBs are still available: antique white, pearl onyx, silvery green, silvery blue, and pearl. Two are the original basic style.

Lots of emails these days, maybe because of the price of gas, so check our North American M-class stock before they're all gone.

No clutch, pas de gloire?
Sep. 27, 2005, 10:33 AM

Si vous parlez français: le portail de No Clutch, No Glory.

And if not, how about scooter and moped news, reviews, commentary and the ocassional oddity? Apparently, lots of updates.

Et encore une fois en français: des discussions sur les Scoots En Tôle.

Yet another day in the life of ScootRS
Sep. 21, 2005, 3:23 PM

party More shopcam photos: a few shiny results from some of the new improved alloy moulds we've made, some improved items we're machining, a Lambretta being finished off, and 2 more scooters we're sending off.

By the way, we also redid and added our VB1/VL1 kit CDI onsite again just recently, only from ScootRS.

Hmm, what should we do tomorrow?

A day in the life of ScootRS
Sep. 18, 2005, 12:09 PM

party Click the photo and follow along:

  1. Note staff wearing a nice green t-shirt while assembling a Vespa.
  2. Put the last touches on the almost finished scooters.
  3. Install one of the new lathes in the shop.
  4. Photograph and ship the yellow GP200 just finished.
  5. At the staff party, get the girls in shipping to drink beer.
  6. Spot staff wearing same nice green t-shirt to the party and make him pour beer for a few of the other guys.

Rinse and repeat.

New Lambretta scooter parts and categories
Sep. 8, 2005, 9:20 PM

shroud We've added two new Lambretta parts categories following the the official parts book, Cooling System and Flywheel - CDI. The Cooling System is a completely dumb category and should never have been invented, but apparently Ferdinando was feeling rather systematic that week, so there you go. In it you'll find the titillating cylinder shroud (which should be in the cylinder category), the demure flywheel cover (which should be in the flywheel category), and, well, not much else. But at least now you can look in the book, choose the same category onsite, and gaily exclaim “Oooh, there it is, just like it says!”

We've also added some new flywheel and clutch parts, so check those out on the new parts page. As per usual, great savings over the prices you're used to seeing elsewhere.

And guess what? More to come...

My, my, that was a rather floral post now, wasn't it?

Closing times and new LML Vespa engines for sale
Sep. 2, 2005, 3:18 PM

We're closed until Monday for a holiday here in Asia, and in Europe our shipper is off until at least mid-week due to an accident, so shipments out will be delayed there. (Hope you get better soon!) Only the hard-working North American is in.

LML engine We did have time though to add first our new LML 150cc 5-port electric-start engines. These are great replacements for Vespa engines, and we have the best price and package around for them. Complete for $949! (Listed at $825 but after the handling charge it's $949.)
